so this is my latest attempt to blog. the tricky thing is that I am having a lot of trouble writing lately. there's a wall between me and the words floating around in my head. I hope that getting out and about today will help get things flowing again. I dunno.
we recently found out that we are having a baby boy, which is totally exciting. of course, the desire for a healthy baby always takes precedence over gender, but whenever I thought about having a baby my mind always went to having a boy. it was a great way to come home from my San Diego home, from which I got to spend a week revisiting my friends as family and sharing my pregnancy. I finally got to sit down with people whom I love and adore and whom love and support me and just gush over the highs and lows of being pregnant. with each passing week and expansion of the belly, this pregnancy begins to feel more and more real. it's weird saying that because it's all real, but... anyway, it was awesome to walk the streets and see the beaches that have been my home and sanctuary for the last 19 years.
